I began operating mostly in film, then have transitioned to digital – first simpler point-and-shoot models, then to higher point-and-shoot models (operating predominantly in the manual settings mode), and finally I have moved into my first digital SLR, the Canon 300D. I am quite pleased with the improvement in image quality, and plan to continue in this trend for some time.

Post-processing: I tend to avoid it for the most part, but when I do use programs I prefer to manipulate only certain aspects of the photo, mostly the saturation levels, light and contrast, etc… I predominantly use Adobe Photoshop Elements & Adobe Lightroom.
